The Nigerian Community in Hampton Roads
of Virginia, celebrates Nigeria's Independence in October every
year.This event includes symposium,seminars and cultural activities
to promote a positive image of Nigeria.
Nigeria Cultural Heritage
Celebration
Nigeria's culture our pride,is celebrated yearly to promote
and showcase the diversity of our culture and people.It includes the
display of our artifacts,traditional dance,fashion show, Nigerian
food and folklore.
Children's Picnic
This an annual event that
takes place on the second Saturday of August every year to honor our
kids before the next school year begins. The goal is to instill our
cultural heritage on our children.
This event includes various activities,games,story
telling,food,dancing and awards.
Christmas Gala
NWAHRVA celebrates
the Christmas with family and friends, party usually starts at night
at a major hotel ballroom.This is an event you don't want to miss. Check
for time of the event.
The membership of NWAHRVA is voluntary
and open to all Nigerian women by birth, marriage, adoption and naturalization,
residing in Hampton Roads Virginia.
Membership Dues
Membership is free, and each member shall
be assessed a one-time registration fee of $20, and a yearly dues
of $30/year.
